Could Black Ops II Head to the Wii or Wii U?
Activision has already announced Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3, but what about for Nintendo?
The publisher has previously released past COD titles on the Nintendo Wii and even Nintendo DS; however there’s been no mention of the Wii or Wii U as it relates to Black Ops II.
When pressed about a Nintendo version of the game by PressFire (via NeoGAF), Treyarch head honcho Mark Lamia said:
Ah! We’re not.. we’re only talking about the other platforms at this time.
But here’s what I can tell you: Treyarch has a long tradition of working on the Nintendo platforms. A long tradition.
[We made] Wii versions of all our Call of Duty titles. And we made the GameCube version of Big Red One. And the Wii version of Spiderman Web of Shadows. We have a lot of experience on the Wii and on the Nintendo platforms. So yeah, we enjoy the Nintendo Wii. We enjoy working on that.
So there seems to be hope for Nintendo fans after all. We’d gladly take a Wii U version over a Wii one though.
