Leak: Call of Duty: Black Ops II is Official

Well it looks like someone jumped the gun and published details of the upcoming announcement for Call of Duty: Black Ops II at the game’s official website (which is now offline).

According to the site, Black Ops II will “push the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise.”  The site also mentioned that the game will “propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”

So apparently, the game’s direction is headed a bit into the future, with the official trailer set to be shown tonight on TNT during the NBA Playoffs game at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released on November 13 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

How much you wanna bet that next year they’re going to coming out with World at War II.

I honestly couldn’t care less about this game. I used to like the non-Modern Warfare 3 titles but now that they’re going to begin doing endless sequels for that cycle as well I have no interest.

Also, how can the game propel players towards a 21st Century Cold War? Running around, guns akimbo, shooting terrorists isn’t exactly Cold War material.
