It’s been a long time Half Life fans. How have you been? Half Life 2 has been really busy being finished…you know…after you PLAYED IT!

OK look, I know Valve has said a lot of things that have gotten you confused. However let’s put those things behind us…just because it appears that Valve has registerd a new domain.

All you’ll see on this mystery web page is “It works” in large letters against a white background. No clues or anything except for the fact that Half-Life 3 is in the URL. Here, I’ll put it in plain text.

While this isn’t definitive, there was the interview Gabe Newell did with the Seven Day Cool Down podcast. While Half Life 3 was not mentioned, Ricochet 2 was. Ricochet was a mod for Half Life which apparently nobody liked. Whether Gabe was actually referring to Half Life 3 is to be debated but most likely he was.
