Upcoming Patches Fix Frame Rate, Audio Sync in Silent Hill Downpour and HD Collection

Silent Hill is a historically terrifying franchise known for delivering such frights as decrepit nurses, gruesome monsters, and even a gargantuan figure donning a pyramid-shaped head and a sword so large it dwarfs Cloud Strife’s finest equipment. Even more unnerving than all of those monsters are frame-rate issues and audio-sync deficiencies that prevent them from reaching their maximum spook potential, a dilemma that recently released titles Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection have been all too unfortunate to deal with. Today, Konami has made official plans to rectify these complaints with patches aimed at ridding the titles of these insufferable glitches.

This announcement comes in the wake of much user unrest in response to their tainted experience with each of the two Silent Hill titles. The patches are currently in development and will become available on both the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future. Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection are, as you might have been able to gather, available now at retail for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
