The Bioware writing staff announced today they may have to merge some of the lesser played servers so that the team can focus on other priorities for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Bioware recently gave away a free month subscription to players with characters above “Level 50” to help appease the hardcore audience, since the new member class is dwindling.

Bioware writer Daniel Erickson says the company is focused on adding helpful features such as a “group finder” to the next major update.

So, it will be up to the SWTOR players to keep the MMO alive in the coming months to avoid becoming another casualty of the MMO killing machine, World of Warcraft.
