2K Sports Congratulates a Real-Life Perfect Game Pitcher

2K Sports officially congratulated Phil Humber, pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, by making him part of their MLB 2K12 Perfect Club. Humber threw the MLBs 21st perfect game ever on Saturday, April 21st against the Seattle Mariners.

Analyzing the game with the same algorithm used to measure the strength of this year’s MLB 2K12 perfect games for the million-dollar challenge, Humber would have received a score of 640 for his performance, which also would measure up to be an ok credit score. The difficulty rating for his game would have been a 55; he’s an above-average pitcher in the game and would have been playing against a low-rated offense.

2K Sports also says that Humber’s perfect game performance would be ranked in 259th place for the million-dollar challenge right theoretically…I’d say he’d be in first since his perfect game was the only one thrown in reality. Still, even a virtual perfect game can get you a million dollars more than I have right now if you win the 2K Challenge, so good luck to all you virtual pitchers.
