This new Android-based tablet will come with a 10.1″ (1280 x 800) display and feature the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor for ultra fast speed while running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).  Audio will be delivered by the company’s exclusive SonicMaster technology, which promises crystal clear audio, while the tablet will also include a 1.2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera with a F2.2 aperture and 1080p HD video recording capabilities.

The Transformer Pad will be offered in either 16GB or 32GB versions with an extra 8GB of storage coming included via ASUS WebStorage.  Both models will of course use WiFi and feature Bluetooth 3.0, a microSD card slot a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro HDMI port. Battery life is said to be up to 15 hours dependant on usage.

With the ability to use an optional keyboard dock, the tablet will include apps such as SuperNote and Polaris Office.  ASUS’ MyNet app will also allow the tablet to connect to any DLNA-compliant device to share content.

ASUS says it will launch the Transformer Pad TF300 “shortly” and will be available in Royal Blue, while Iceberg White and Torch Red versions will be available at a later date.  The 16GB version will sell for $379.99 while the 32GB version go for $399.99.  The optional dock is $149.99.
