It appears that Google is in development for at least two of the next generation consoles, although specific details were not released.

Youtube’s parent company Google has stated they want to take the Youtube experience on consoles to a “TV-like” experience. Google Jobs has listed the following posting seeking a Game Console Software engineer with a “Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3 and/or Nintendo Wii” required.

Whether this means following the Hulu and Netflix route or forging their own path, gamers should be excited as our consoles take another step in consolidating all of our media products.
