Risen 2: Dark Waters will be maintaining its PC release date of April 27th, 2012, but console gamers will have to wait to set sail for this new adventure. However, console gamers will be able to take on an additional quest when they start their voyage in the summer.

Kicking back the release date to July 31st in America and August 3rd in Europe, Deep Silver announced that the console versions of Risen 2 will include the Air Temple sub-plot (pictured above) in which the hero quests to find the source of air magic, a lost temple on Storm Island. Offering several hours of additional gameplay, this quest will give the pirate RPG added depth, hopefully making up for the additional wait time before the game’s release.
