Sports Highlights Coming to the 3DS Via Nintendo Zone

Nintendo announced today plans to provide sports highlights to Nintendo 3DS owners via the company’s Nintendo Zone service.

Videos will be provided by NBA Digital, MLB.com and Barclays Premier League from FOX Soccer by connecting to any U.S. Nintendo Zone location.

Each week, 3DS owners will find a host of new videos, including round-ups, top 10 plays and game highlights along with select 3D images from some of the week’s games.  The images can also be saved in 3D onto the system.

“Nintendo 3DS owners will now get access to their favorite sports content at thousands of Nintendo Zone locations across the country,” said Zach Fountain, Nintendo of America’s director of Strategic Partnerships. “With video highlights, weekly recaps and exclusive 3D collectible images, fans can connect with their sports passion as they carry their Nintendo 3DS.”

Nintendo Zone currently offers a host of free content such as demos, coupons for Best Buy, trivia and more.  You can find a lost of Nintendo Zone locations by checking out http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/nintendozone.
