Mortal Kombat Team Hiring

NetherRealm Studios, the minds behind the fantastic Mortal Kombat reboot are currently hiring for next-gen projects. Multiple job listings for the Chicago, Illinois based developer call for senior staff and other positions to help with next-gen development.

The job listing for a gameplay software engineer seeks a person who will create “game systems for exciting, cutting-edge action games on current and next-gen consoles.” An ideal candidate for this position would have experience developing for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, on a multiyear, “large-scale” game, according to the job listing.

NetherRealm is seeking a senior software engineer and a gameplay software engineer. The position calls for a person who will be tasked with, among other efforts, “developing and extending systems that are powerful as well as flexible for current and future generation consoles” and “developing and porting technologies to the next generation of consoles.”
