And so it is now down to 4 players, who are battling it out to become the cover athlete for Madden 13, after the 3rd round of voting was completed. The remaining four players are Calvin Johnson (Lions), Aaron Rodgers (Packers), Cam Newton (Panthers) and Patrick Willis (49ers).

The semi-finals will now be Cam Newton vs. Patrick Willis and Aaron Rodgers vs. Calvin Johnson, and the voting period has already begun via www.ESPN.com/MaddenVote.  On Wednesday afternoons, fans can tune into SportsNation at 5 p.m.  ET for commentary on the competition, and the winning athlete will be announced on April 25.
