The Last Story to See Limited Release in the US

by on April 2, 2012

In an interview with IGN, Director of Publishing for XSEED Ken Berry confirmed that the publisher is looking at releasing the game this summer, but in limited quantities.

“Yes, we do anticipate a limited run for the game as we already have a number in mind of how many units we can expect to sell of this title, and all our pre-production efforts will be geared towards being able to manufacture a final number somewhat close to our initial estimated number. It’s too early to start thinking of doing additional runs, but as a general policy we haven’t been very active on doing reprints of our other titles so far,” said Berry.

Already released in Europe, the game has received critical acclaim, and Wii owners in North America have shown excitement for the game’s upcoming release.

Berry also confirmed that Nintendo will assist with the game’s marketing and launch, while stating that the game will be shipped to any and all retailers that show interest in the game.
