Square-Enix PAX East Lineup Includes Hitman: Absolution Panel, Sleeping Dogs Demo

PAX East, an annual celebration of nerd culture hosted by Penny Arcade, returns to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center next weekend. With so little time left before the doors open, companies are making a mad dash to make official their lineup of games being displayed on the show floor. Square-Enix, not content to be left out of the excitement, has made available their selection of content that includes such anticipated titles as Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs.

If you’ll be attending PAX East, then don’t be too excited by that last sentence; Hitman: Absolution will not be playable on the show floor. It will, however, make an appearance at an exclusive panel with IO Interactive. The panel, taking place on Saturday, April 7 at 7:30 PM in the Manticore Theater, will feature a gameplay demo and a Q&A with the aforementioned developers that will be pioneering the fifth entry in the acclaimed Hitman franchise.

Those eager to get their hands on unreleased titles and actually play them will perhaps be more content with the extensive lineup Square-Enix has prepared for the show floor. Making its debut will be Sleeping Dogs, the free-roaming revival of the True Crime series, and a handful of titles sure to catch the eye of the enthused gamer: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Quantum Conundrum, Heroes of Ruin, WAFKU, and Risen 2: Dark Waters.

It appears that Square-Enix has left no stones un-turned in preparation for PAX East. As an attendee and the official representative of Got Game on the show floor, allow me to say this: my body is ready.
