Star Wars: The Old Republic Receives Game Update 1.2 In Time for Second Open Weekend
Bioware’s massively popular Star Wars-based MMO, The Old Republic, is taking on a game update which will be displayed this weekend. Titled “Game Update 1.2,” the system enhances the game’s Legacy system, allowing for created characters to share lineages and pass powers and skills on to other characters designated as relatives. This will also allow the characters to unlock special Legacy-exclusive powers. Included in the update will be additional content for the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint, a new high-level Operation titled “Explosive Conflict,” and a new Warzone. New textures, interface modifications, and other changes are included as well.
These changes will assuredly be showcased to many new players this weekend as TOR is doing its second open weekend, allowing players to download and play without entering any payment information. Those who haven’t previously the game will be allowed to start up and play until Monday, March 26th at 2:00AM CDT. Those who are interested should head over to www.starwarstheoldrepublic.com/weekendpass and give it a whirl.
