‘Soul Calibur V’ Title Update, Tournament Announced
Soulcalibur V has only been out on the American market for about a month and a half, but it was announced today that there will be a free title update released this Wednesday on the PlayStation Network and XBox Live online networks. Namco Bandai’s update to the weapons-based fighting game will include online ranked game search optimization, gameplay tweaks, and character balance adjustments for the entire roster, all based on player feedback.
So why is this important for anyone other than Soulcalibur V players? Because it is this new updated version that Namco Bandai will be using for the Soulcalibur V World Finals on April 10, 2012.
The world’s best Soulcalibur V players will meet in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, which is quickly asserting itself as a dominant force in professional gaming in the US. Fighters will vie for a $10,000 prize pool in the gaming tournament.
Fans in the greater Los Angeles area can also take advantage of Namco Bandai’s generosity, as they will be providing transportation to Las Vegas for the event at dates and locations to be announced on their Facebook page. Attendees must be over 21 with a valid license or ID.
