Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, a popular game available for iOS devices, has already successfully converted a mode that persuaded many to embrace the annual warfare title to a mobile phone. Today, it has successfully provided an update sure to bring the same players that made it a hit back into the fold with Version 1.20.

Added in Version 1.20 is Ascension, a map which implements zombie monkeys and zombie Soviet soldiers into a Cold War-era battlefield. Alongside that are new achievements and new weapons to help players in their plight including the Thunder Gun, Matroyshka Dolls, a Gersch Device, and a Sickle. Fixes, as is per usual in incremental updates, are applied to the core game and promise to improve on the mobile game that has already established itself atop the iTunes Store.

Players that have previously purchased the game and will be returning for the Version 1.20 update will receive 5,000 free Call of Duty points, currency put towards enhancing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies experience.
