Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Lumines : Electronic Symphony is a great game, it’s not however a great vita game. The gameplay hasn’t changed much and nor should it, the controls were tight and responsive when the first Lumines came out and the controls are still tight and responsive with the exception of the vita touchscreen controls. The game plays and handles better using the analog stick to move the blocks left and right and then any of the X O ▲ ■ buttons to rotate the blocks.
Now what I mean when I say it’s a great game but not a great Vita game is simple it plays better without using the thrown in touchscreen controls, they are kind of clunky feeling and every time I tried to use them I would find within a few minutes automatically switching over to the standard controls. As for the game itself, the music like in all Lumines games is fantastic the color matching blocks to create combos is still as fun as you remember and is nearly as addicting as Tetris.
It still has a leveling system that lets you earn XP to unlock avatars which have different effects on the gameplay if you are doing single player or multiplayer. The addition of the World Block is a great feature which I recommend you delve into though it is only accessible via a wi-fi or 3G connection.
The bottom line is this, if you are looking for a fun addicting game that you can get lost in on your Vita, I highly recommend Lumines: Electronic Symphony.
