It’s time for Playstation 3 owners to forget what they know about Resident Evil and come to grips with the new reality of survival horror with today’s announcement of Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection. This collection encompasses Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: Darksider Chronicles, two games originally released for the Nintendo Wii that substituted the franchise’s typical brand of mechanics for those more in line with the light-gun toting House of the Dead series.

In the move to the Playstation 3, Chronicles HD Collection will pick up the boost of high-definition graphics alongside the refined motion controls of the Playstation Move controller.

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will launch this June as a digital download on the Playstation Network.
