Ain’t No Party Like a Mario Party! “Mario Party 9” Hits Shelves

WARNING: GotGame.com does not recommend getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after partying.

Unless that vehicle is one of the vehicles found in the all-new Mario Party 9.

The ninth rendition of the wildly-popular Mario-themed video-board game hit your favorite game place on Friday, and is already seeing robust sales. According to Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Mario Party 9 will have the same feel of the other versions of the Mario Party franchise, featuring the crazy cavalcade of characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, but will also have more cooperative elements such as vehicle navigation across maps and boss battles against Bowser and his cronies.

Don’t let that fool you though, this is no koom-bay-yah love fest – you’re still out to become the Superstar, which can be accomplished by picking up Mini-Stars and generally trouncing your opponents in over eighty new mini-games, which include pizza-making, paint-shooting, and escaping haunted houses. A slew of unlockables can be found in MP9‘s Museum as an additional challenge.

Stay plugged in to GotGame.com, we have a full review of Mario Party 9 in the works.
