NCAA Football 13 ‘My Heisman’ Cover Vote Opens Today, Ends April 2
The realm of the gridiron has for many years belonged to none other than EA Sports, but in recent years the control has gradually shifted from their palms and into the hands of the enthusiast masses in the form of organized polls to determine stars gracing the covers of select football games; last year’s Madden fan vote pit 32 superstars against one another in a March Madness-style bracket with the winner, who was ultimately Cleveland Browns halfback Peyton Hillis, earning a spot on Madden NFL 12. This year, players will be choosing a cover co-star to adorn the box art for NCAA Football 13 alongside Baylor University’s Heisman-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Keeping in line with the Heisman theme, the NCAA Football 13 My Heisman Cover Vote allows fans to pick from eight Heisman Trophy winners of year’s past. The selection includes Eddie George (running back, University of Southern California), Doug Flutie (quarterback, Boston College), Eddie George (running back, Ohio State University), Desmond Howard (wide receiver, University of Michigan), Barry Sanders (running back, Oklahoma State University), Herschel Walker (running back, University of Georgia), Charlie Ward (quarterback, Florida State University), Andre Ware (quarterback, University of Houston).
Polls open up today on the NCAA Football Facebook page and will remain open until April 2 with winners being announced on April 16. NCAA Football 13, featuring a cover that will sport the winner of this poll and Robert Griffin III, will launch for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 10.
