There likely exists a very small number of the population that didn’t spend yesterday, March 6, booting up Mass Effect 3 for the first time. The game, which serves as the conclusion to the critically lauded Mass Effect trilogy, features gameplay, characters, and, according to a press release out of Costa Communications released today, music familiar to the gamers it so entices. That’s because Christopher Lennertz, a composer with noted involvement in the Medal of Honor franchise, is the artist behind the score.
Lennertz work in film, television, video games, and music albums has earned him much praise, an Emmy nomination for work on the television show Supernatural, and an award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences for work on both GUN and Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. Other, previous work from Lennertz has been featured in the video game adaptions of James Bond 007: From Russia With Love and the more recent Quantum of Solace.
Mass Effect 3 hopes to be a fitting conclusion to Commader Shephard’s saga, and with Christopher Lennertz at the helm composing, the game is one step closer to accomplishing that feat.
