Will the next MGS be shown at GDC?

On the official Konami website, there has been a very interesting post regarding the next entry into the Metal Gear Solid series.  In it, there are postings for all sorts of jobs related to the development of the next game. If you have a background in programming, art, level design or whatever, there is a job for you.

This is very open for discussion because of all levels of positions that they are trying to fill. The sheer amount of jobs available in addition to what they already have tells us that the next MGS game is going to be huge. The fact that they are posting these positions in a public place also means that even though they are most likely going to hire candidates from within, they are also looking for new talent from other places to give new insight into the long running franchise.

Aside from all of the jobs posted, there are a couple of little secrets hidden on the board. If you happen to click on the CD in the top right, you will get the chance to see some of the new Fox Engine lighting sample to see just how advanced the engine is. Of course it wouldn’t be the normal MGS without a little tease. On the board, there is also a little button that says, “Don’t click here!” Of course you are going to wnt to click on it and you might see a little lead up to the next title. MGS: Pets anyone?

If you are going to the GDC next week, feel free to stop by their booth #1914 and talk to some of their recruiters and who knows, you might just get the chance to run around in a cardboard box too!
