Nintendo Throws a Mario Party Party at Nintendo World
The Mario Party franchise had been enjoying regular yearly updates up until its eighth entry, after which the series mysteriously vanished. To celebrate the reemergence of one of the world’s most successful party franchises, Nintendo has announced a Mario themed event at its store in Manhattan on Friday, March 9.
Nintendo is teaming up with the Boys and Girls Club of America and Radio Disney for a night of Mario, music, and gaming, from 7-10 p.m. Mentors and mentees will team up in a series of events designed to show off the cross generational appeal of Mario Party and the Wii. There will be food, drinks, music, and prizes for attendees. Of course, all on hand will be able to try out Mario’s latest board game/video game hybrid.
Those who’d like to attend should keep their radio tuned to Radio Disney AM 1560 for a chance to win tickets to party with Mario and Luigi. If you go, be sure to bring me back a slice of cake. Not too big though. I have to watch my figure.
