Though no official date was released, Capcom announced today that a demo for Dragon’s Dogma, the upcoming RPG for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will arrive ahead of the game’s release.

Capcom says that the demo will let players try out two of the game’s character classes in two encounters.  The melee specialist, Fighter, will give players the opportunity to make their way through underground tunnels before taking on the Chimera in a Prologue quest, which is set before the events of the main game.

Secondly, players can also take the reigns of the swift Strider, who will use his bow and daggers to try and take down the Griffin in the open plans surrounding Gransys, the capital city.

The demo will also allow players to use the game’s character creation tools that can then be exported to the full version of the game when it releases on May 22.
