2K Sports announced today that a demo of Major League Baseball 2K12 is now available on Xbox LIVE and the Playstation Network.

The demo allows players to relive 2011 World Series and play three innings as the Texas Rangers or St. Louis Cardinals. MLB 2K12 boasts various new features including: a dynamic tendencies system that adjusts pitcher and batter ratings as the game unfolds, a revamped throwing system, and a new hit distribution system with more varied and realistic hit types.

(Only Xbox 360 and PS3 users qualify for the “Perfect Game Challenge.” The competition starts on April 4, 2012 and ends at midnight on April 30, 2012.)

MLB 2K12 comes out next week for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS and Windows PC. The game will also come out at a later date for the new PS Vita.
