Primal was not a groundbreaking title when Sony’s Cambridge studios released it on the PlayStation 2 in 2003.
However, it did provide fans with a motion picture type story and an impressive looking world, (for it’s time,) to guide main characters Jen and Scree through. Jen must save her heavy metal playing boyfriend, after he is kidnapped at the beginning of the game. The gargoyle Scree helps Jen get through various events in the game that she cannot accomplish. Mainly, the game just leads you from one story point to another to expand upon its movie. The combat wasn’t all that good and neither was the puzzle solving, but the graphics, music, and story make this a worthwhile addition to your library.
So, for anyone that is interested, Sony will be re-releasing “Primal” for download onto the PSN tomorrow. Primal has many loving fans out there and now anyone with a PS3 or PS Vita has the opportunity to enjoy it as well.
