Nintendo Updates Super Mario Bros. NES Ambassador Game

by on February 16, 2012

Nintendo has today released a new update for Super Mario Bros. on the 3DS’ Virtual Console.  The update brings with it a few changes that the Big-N had promised last year, such as Suspend Points and a brand new home screen icon, which shows the game on a TV with an NES system alongside it.

To get the new update, 3DS owners will need to go to the eShop, which should then display a notice that an update is available for a previously downloaded game.  If it does not show up, you can go to ‘Titles You’ve Downloaded’ and then to ‘Update’.

Previously, Nintendo had said that these games would also get digital manuals and multiplayer but that is unfortunately not part of this particular game update.
