Andriasang reports that Sony is set to end its comic download service on the PSP in September.

At that time, the “Comic” tab will be come inaccessible from the PlayStation Store.  The report also states that given the eventual shutdown of the service, Sony will stop adding new content to the service on March 15.

Comic book fans who purchased content from the PlayStation Store will still be able to download the content throughout 2012 as the Comic Reader app will still be downloadable as well.

Sony says users will want to try the Media Go program in order to back up their comic content.
