According to Gamesindustry.biz, Nintendo has acquired video codec developer Mobiclip.
The French company revealed today that they had actually become a subsidiary of Nintendo back in October.
“Mobiclip is a Research and Development centre specialized in the field of highly optimized software technologies. We are committed to provide the gaming industry with the latest innovations in middleware,” said a Mobiclip representative.
The company had previously worked with Nintendo on the GBA and Nintendo 3DS, and are looking at hiring a console software engineer. Perhaps this means they are currently working with the Nintendo Wii-U.
