As you all may have been aware someone , through the use of arcane magicks, found out about areas beyond the realm of Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls V game. These areas were concluded to be Cyrodiil and Morrowind respectively. Many of you have probably wondered why these land masses are even here, some have even speculated that future DLC will bring you to these provinces. However, to set your minds at rest, or not, is Todd Howard with his explanation of why the Morrowind and Cyrodiil provinces are in the Elder Scrolls V.

In a recent interview with Kotaku, Todd Howard basically said that both provinces were in the game for aesthetic affects. Some of the views from the mountains of Skyrim look beyond her borders and into the neighbor’s yard so to speak. Howard didn’t deny or confirm that Morrowind or Cyrodiil would make an appearance in future DLC though. So we may yet see more use for these areas of the game, hopefully.
