ThinkGeek’s iCADE 8-Bitty Set to Revolutionize Smart Phone Gaming at Toy Fair 2012
It isn’t always an easy task to play video games on a smart phone. Virtual interfaces, designed to replicate the precision of the humble controller, have proven to be a clunky method of interacting with even the most simple of games. ThinkGeek, a website renowned for dealing in geek chic and apparel, have set forth to eradicate this problem with the iCADE 8-Bitty.
Debuting at the 2012 Toy Fair in New York City, the iCADE 8-Bitty promises to make the woes of gaming on the go a trouble of the past; it is, essentially, a portable controller that sports both a D-Pad and four buttons and shares a resemblance with the visage of the Nintendo Entertainment System’s landmark peripheral. The device, fitting easily into any pocket, is attached wirelessly to any Android or iOS device and will work with a set amount of games, a total that is rapidly increasing as the accessory approaches release.
The iCADE 8-Bitty is set for release later this year with the modest price tag of $24.99.
