EA’s Syndicate to Showcase A-List Voice Actors Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox, and Michael Wincott
In 1993, when Syndicate first saw the light of day as a video game published by Electronic Arts, voice acting was but a far-off dream of the hopeful masses. In 2012, when Syndicate reemerges on February 21, voice acting will be a reality championed by such Hollywood stars as Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Brian Cox (The Bourne Identity), and Michael Wincott (The Crow).
Syndicate, an upcoming release developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by EA, takes place in, as Starbreeze CEO Mikael Nermark puts it, a “dystopian world of unscrupulous corporations and chip augmented enforcers.” Such a setting, he insists, requires “strong talent.”
It’s hard not to see the connection made by Nermark when associating the phrase “strong talent” with such powerful leads as Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox, and Michael Wincott. Dawson, an actress most well known for her seductive role in Sin City, will be orating the lines of Lily Drawl, an up-and-coming agent in the Eurocorp syndicate. The other two stars, Brian Cox and Michael Wincott, will be playing the parts of Jack Denham and Jules Merit, two figures established at the top of Eurocorp, respectively.
Syndicate will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on February 21.
