Kirby’s Dreamland 2 Headed to Japanese 3DS eShop

There’s good news for our friends over in the east, as Kirby’s Dreamland 2 will arrive in the Japanese eShop in just a week.

In Kirby’s Dreamland 2, a blast from the past originally released in 1995, Kirby retains ability to absorb enemy powers from Kirby’s Adventure. He also gains the ability to team up with three animal helpers; Rick the Hamster, Kine the Fish, and Coo the Owl.  By combining his powers with his animal friends, Kirby gains access to a wealth of abilities that he’ll use to save Dreamland.  The game will cost 400 yen in Japan.  There is no word on a US or European release, but I’d wager that Kirby’s Dreamland 2 will see a Western release soon enough.

Kirby’s Dreamland was one of my favorite titles for the original Gameboy, and I can’t wait to bask in my nostalgia.  Are you eagerly anticipating a US re-release for Kirby’s second portable adventure?

I’m playing the first one right now via the eShop…pretty fun. What I really want though, is that Kid Icarus 3D remake (of the original).
