Gotham City Impostors Releases

The zany first-person shooter based on the Batman universe has finally arrived…ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Gotham City Impostors.

An online-exclusive, multi-platform shooter, players will take on the role of the self-deputized Batz or the maniacal Jokerz in an all-out shootout across various stages. The game features multiple game modes and a touted 1,000 levels of player advancement, allowing for total customization of character, weapon load-outs, special perks, and costume details.

Gotham City Impostors does away with the seriousness of recent FPS blockbuster titles like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, instead going for a fast-paced, crazed feeling more akin to retro arcade shooters like Unreal Tournament. The game releases with 5 different maps based on the various Gotham City locations, as well as four game modes that take familiar concepts like Capture the Flag and give them an added twist. Adding to the mix are power-ups like roller-skates and gliding capes that can be combined with trampolines, ramps, and air vents in the level to create a huge range of play styles and approaches to the game.

Gotham City Impostors is available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and various PC downloadable clients.

I checked this game out a while ago during a preview event and it was pretty damn fun.
