We’re starting to think that THQ hasn’t figured out a good way to tell their employees that the company has been dead for three years now. They continue to cut staff by a significant amount, reducing specific studios that we frankly didn’t have a clue existed in the first place.
This time 30 members of their team were let go from the Play THQ division, a team of developers that aimed to create family friendly games for the studio that brought us Saints Row and Destroy All Humans! This is a part of what THQ is calling an “updated business strategy,” which we assume is a manilla folder with a single sheet of paper in it that says, “Make more moneys.”
THQ is denying any cancellations or delays in actual titles and have rejected the idea that they plan on selling the company. In other news, the studio has been renamed “TQ,” as H has been laid off.
