Netflix Game Rentals Aren’t Going to Happen

Remember that time when Netflix was going to break up their company into two companies, one that was going to be called Qwikster and was going to offer DVD, Blu-ray, and games in the mail? Yeah, that was a fun day wasn’t it? Well, we know that the whole “Qwikster” face Netflix went through is over, but what about that plan to offer games?

That’s over too, sadly. The plan was up in the air for some time as Netflix has struggled to get back on their feet. But last week, company CEO Reed Hastings confirmed that the plan to offer games has been ditched. They’re still doing what they do best: Movies. But if you want games, look elsewhere. Or wait until they announce they’re doing games with a new company, ThisWontLastLong. Then they’ll kill it, too.
