If you grew up as a gamer in the 90’s, you’re definitely familiar with the original Playstation. It was Sony’s entrance into the world of gaming, and it made quite the splash as it brought some unique, exclusive titles to the 32-bit disc-playing console. What you probably haven’t seen, though, are the steps of development that took place in the process of creating the device.

We’re here to share some rare concept models of Sony’s first console. You can really see the product come together into the console that we all know and love. There’s no doubt some influence from other products (SNES, anyone?) in some of these devices, but you have to start somewhere. It definitely became its own iconic console by the end.
