Next-gen is happening whether you want it to or not.  LucasArts has some plans also in the works to go along with it.

According to their website, they have posted job openings for a Graphics Engineer to work on emerging platforms. Generally when companies post openings like this it means that the new systems are coming. Depending on how complicated the new platform will be, we might be able to see how this will look in the coming months. Hopefully, this will blow our minds.

Some of us who are fans of this team who is known for making great games like Star Wars: Battlefront and The Force Unleashed of course have very high expectations to what we will see from them. Now with the Wii U coming , and more than likely Microsoft and Sony will be unveiling something soon, ambitions are high to see the new world of images and design develop.

The Team at Lucas arts has also posted a job opening for a Senior Network/Multiplayer Engineer. Who knows, they might be working on the next big multiplayer game that will be a launch title for the next gen.

Of course, everything here is pure speculation. For all we know, that emerging technology might be nothing more than the iPhone 5, which in its own way is pretty cool I guess… I guess.
