SOPA Hearings Have Been Shelved
After the most politically correct bitch-slap that has been delivered by the Obama Administration, the Stop Online Piracy Act has been shelved temporarily.
The hearings were set to take place on January 18, but with a couple embarrassments hanging over its head and a lot of big web presences protesting the bill, the talks have been halted.
What is important to remember, though, is that these bills STILL EXIST. Do no forget about them. They’ll be back. This is a common tactic of politicians to put an unpopular bill off to the side until everyone forgets about the outcry against them. SOPA’s partnered Senate bill, Protect Intellectual Property Act, is still in play and SOPA will be again in the future. Continue to stay informed, active, and more than anything, outraged.
