Get out your inaccurate Zelda timelines, it’s time for an update. Series producer Eiji Aonuma has confirmed that Nintendo is indeed working on a new installment of the Legend of Zelda series. It’s been underway since before the release of Skyward Sword, though Aonuma did state that reception of that game would effect this one.
“The long sailing time of creating Skyward Sword, a game to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Zelda series, has just come to an end”, Aonuma stated. “The voices of those who’ve played it from around the world reach us. We hear their admiration, comments and their criticism too. All those voices become energy for the next voyage. Well, to tell the truth, we’ve already set sail in a new voyage.”
No word on what system the game will be dropping for, but we do know that Nintendo was working on a 3DS Zelda game back in November. We’d love to see a Wii-U launch with Zelda along side it though.
