Nintendo has never been strong on communication. They’re looking to change that this week with the inclusion of a messaging system for the 3DS.

The system will be called “Swapnote,” and will allow users to, fittingly, swap notes (or in more sensical terms, send and receive messages) through both StreetPass and SpotPass. You’ll also be able to share words in 2D or eye-popping 3D. Nothing more stimulating than 3D text, right?

Along with being able to send messages, you can also share photos, sounds, and other media. Finally, a way to express my emotions in nothing but chirps and dings.
