Gamefly is Now in Beta for its PC Counterpart

Gamefly.com is now putting to use the Direct to Drive infrastructure that they had purchased a few months ago. As of today, they have entered their public beta for their service.

This means that you will be able to now download pc games to your computer using their download service. This is great for them now that other companies like Netflix and Blockbuster are offering games through their rental services. In addition to being able to rent games through this service, you will also be able to purchase games from many well known publishers.

The cool part is, you will also get something that they call Unlimited PC Play for other games that are available on their service. Among these games are pretty good titles like Assassins Creed, Saints Row 2, and Splinter Cell. All of these games can be yours for the basic cost of 14.99 a month.

At this point in time it is great to see that Gamefly is expanding their service to something akin to what Netflix had offered when it had added movies on demand through their website. At the moment, Gamefly has not announced any changes to their pricing structure and hopefully, it will stay that way.
