Phishing Warning from Sony

Some of you PSN users might have received an email saying that it was from Sony in regard to your wallet balance. In the email, it asks you to log in using your PSN id and password.

No matter how tempting it is, Don’t do it. This type of email can get unwanted users into your account and from there they can send info to your friends list and so on, etc. So unless you are 100% certain it is from a legit source, just delete it.  Most of the time the information in the messages is not going to affect your online experience. So use your best judgement in those situations.

Sony has also provided a link in order to report suspicious messages such as this one and here is the link: http://playstation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/218

So if you find yourself getting some random messages over PSN, just send them that way.

For the record, this is the only email address that you should take seriously:

pscustomer_service@playstation.sony.com
