Last Guardian Producer Moving on to Mobile Games

The stories revolving around the fate of the Last Guardian continue today with the notice that the executive producer of the much anticipated game has resigned. Yoshifusa Hayama recently revealed that he will be leaving Sony to go work for Bossa Studios in the United Kingdom as their Creative Director.

Hayama has had a impressive career, having worked on games such as Locoroco 2, and the Eye of Judgement for Sony he has contributed to a very wide variety of styles and play types. Other companies that hes has worked for are Sega, Electronic Arts, and Square Enix. With this new position he will finally have all of the creative control that will help him create the next best social game.

Hayama also stated in the press release of his departure, “The future of gaming is definitely online and thanks to recent developments with Flash 11, there is no reason why a social game can no longer be as visually stunning and as compelling as the big console titles.” To that, I welcome the challenge, make me like your next game.
