Report: Vita to Only Allow One PSN Account

Oh, look everyone! Sony shot themselves in the foot again. This time, it’s related to their upcoming handheld console, the Playstation Vita. According to a user of the PS Vita at a beta event, the system will only allow for one Playstation Network account. According to the flyer, “If you want to use a different account, you need to format the system to factory settings.”

Alright Sony, do you remember how the limiting aspects of the UMD format killed any chance for your last handheld to excel as a media device? Alright, think about that but with gaming, which is kind of the thing that this portable system is supposed to do. All we’re saying is that you keep killing your own products. Let Nintendo inevitably beat you in a legitimate way rather than just offing yourself at the starting line. Until then, you are the Zune of the MP3 player market.
