According to Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, the upcoming 3DS game Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be a full remake, built from the ground up. It’ll be totally optimized for the 3DS. On would expect nothing less from the man that puts way too much detail (in a good way) into all of his games.
The game, due out on March 8, 2012– in Japan, at least– will be “created from scratch and optimized for the 3DS hardware,” according to Kojima. This is probably for the best, since the original came out back in 2005 and while it looked gorgeous then, things have changed. Also, the PS2 was never the most portable of consoles.
