While it should come as no surprise to anyone, it is still news: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the fastest selling gaming in the Zelda series, with over 535,000 sold since the North American launch. That’s over half a million people that will be attempting to rescue Zelda…again.

The sales figures were no doubt helped by a strong Black Friday showing from Nintendo. Over 500,000 Wiis were also purchased during the holiday shopping rush. No one tell those half a million people that the Wii-U is coming out in less than a year and the Wii is only going to shut their kid up for a little while before they start whining for the new system.
