New details are emerging for the massively popular series Yakuza, now in its fifth iteration. According to Famitsu magazine, this will continue after the story of Yakuza 4 and again we will get to follow the exploits of Kazuma Kiryu who will in no doubt be getting into some shenanigans.

The producer of the series Toshihiro Nagoshi tells us that the story continues in multiple cities this time such as Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Nagoshi. he also tells us that they are streamlining the battle system to make it more seamless and also improving the camera. I hope that the camera is greatly improved because over the years, that has been the biggest opportunity of the series.

According to SEGA, They will be conducting a talent search for female talent in the game. They did not say if these were to be hostess characters or if they will be part of the main story line. My money is on them being hostesses because if they are doing it as a contest  it will most likely be a beauty pageant for them to be high class hookers-without the sex. Contestants can apply to audition here.

There is no release date as of yet for Yakuza 5 but we can most likely expect to see it late 2012 to early 2013.
