Notch VS. Yogscast: Something Bad Happened (UPDATE)

Something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. There seems to be some “tension” between the indie developer Mojang and the youtube sensation that is the Yogscast. You can check out Notch’s thoughts on this below:

Notch went on to tweet that he was tired and hoped that this would all pass. He does in fact like the work that the Yogscast does.

After a little diggy diggy I also stumbled upon some tweets saying that part of this was because of the excessive use of profanity by Simon and Lewis of the Yogscast.

As to what else has happened, no one but Mojang and Yogscast probably know. The Yogscast will be issuing a statement in about a day. Until then, should Notch have kept this private or should the Yogscast be shown for who they really are? Have the Yogscast’s egos grown to that of divas? We want YOUR opinions. Make sure to post in the comments below.

UPDATE

I have sent an e-mail to Notch and Daniel Kaplan asking for an official statement on the matter. The Yogscast official statement should be released some time tomorrow. Peva, one of the Yogscast associates who handles the facebook page, has told everyone that they should expect the official statement within 24 hours after Yogscast has returned home. GotGame will keep you all up to date on this as information comes in.

Just waiting to hear Simon and Lewis’ side of the story. This all seems very out of character for both of them.

This doesn’t sm very rational and similar to the Yogscast I know. Maybe off tape, some things I don’t, but keeping a fake personality on screen while retaining the regular one is pretty difficult. These guys are the legit happy people. They’re not like egotistical KassemG or something. They’re the most care-free’ lackadaisical people I can think of. I’sd think it was a hoax, if it weren’t for the obvious truth in the matter…..

Sorry to say but this happened back in 2011.
